Why should I use a CRM system?

General opinion about the target of a CRM (Customer relationship management) system is that this kind of systems can help you to find, attract, and win new clients, but also to reduce the costs of marketing and client service.
 
I also subscribe to these overall goals, but in my opinion a good CRM software must be much more than a marketing system, it should be the “heart” of a company, a central system who synchronize the activities between your company departments and between your company and your clients. So, the final target of a CRM system should be the progress of your company, happy clients, but also not on the last place happy employees.
 
If I must talk about IT industry, pharmaceutical and medical industry, construction industry etc. in all of these cases, my conclusion is the same: the CLIENT is the “KING”.
 
Having a good product (in any industry) is not the guarantee that you will also have a lot of clients. You also need good marketing, you need to make and keep a relation between you and your clients, and you must want to show your customers that they are THE PRIORITY.
In my opinion, you have no chance to do all of these without a CRM system if you want to have a good business plan on medium and long term.
 
You can find bellow some benefits of a CRM system and some situations  met very often in the life of a company  :
 
-   One of your sales rep. had lost his agenda with all his data (contacts, orders) or worst, he had left the company with all the contacts to work on a competitive company. In all these cases, the result of such a scenario is that your company loses money. If you use a CRM system, all the data are centralized in a safety place (server), available for everybody, and you won’t lose your clients.

-   You want to organize a marketing campaign, or other event, and you want to contact or invite all your customers. How much time you’ll lose to contact them if all the contact details are in the sales rep agendas and in some cases those details are different? Personally I don’t want to be the man who must manually keep the evidence of all the customers. A lot of problems could appear when a client changes his address, or phone number.
Using a CRM software all the clients details are available by pressing one button and also the reality is the same for all.
 
-   Using a CRM system you will avoid unpleasant situations that a customer to be by mistake visited by more sales representatives for the same product or not visited at all.
 
-   Using a CRM system, the order data are available for your colleagues for further processing IMMEDIATELY after the confirmation, so that the supply chain can be extremely accelerated!  
The same thing when we talk about clients complaints. A new complaint can be faster sent to the office department in order to be solved.
